My Ghost Project

For this assignment, I was tasked to create and texture a ghost to fit as a spectral guide that's haunting a Victorian manor.

The final model with the animation attached. I wanted to feature the ghost beckoning to the user, and to add a little bit of secondary action I had the ghost cock its head as it extends its hand to the viewer, as to say "are you coming?"

Here is the initial, unrigged model for the ghost. I actually have an opacity map on this ghost but ended up omitting it to prevent any issues of visibility that come with opacity maps.

The in engine rig. Breaking the magic a little as the wrist did get very warped

And here is the color sketch for the model. I think that the model was bordering on "too creepy" so I chose to omit stuff like teeth. The center piece is meant to represent a gemstone that would help unlock other areas of the Victorian manor

The color scheme I went with was a split complimentary type consisting of light red, orange, and blue. I generally enjoy working in split complimentary because of the choices it grants me in how to use the colors as opposed to just complimentary colors.
